Nathan takes a break after Riviera |

It has been a disappointing week for Nathan at the Northern Trust Open at the Riviera Golf Club in Pacific Palisades outside of Los Angeles, a second round of 78 seeing him finish a massive nine shots outside the cutline of 1 over.
After an opening round of 74 had him needing something under par in round two, Nathan started well enough when he parred the opening 6 holes before bogeys at the 7th and 9th holes left him a huge task over the closing nine holes.
The task became just too great when he four putted the 12th for a double bogey and by then the party was over.
"I struggled a bit actually," said Nathan. "I hit it terrible day on the opening day, actually hit it solid on day two but 3 putted twice on the front nine then lost a bit of interest on the back. It was cold and wet and was playing long
Nathan will now take a two week break and at this stage his next event may well be the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
