A second round of even par 70 has cost Nathan the lead at the Honda Classic at the PGA National at West Palm Beach in Florida but at 5 under he trails the joint 36 hole leaders, Camilo Villegas and Anthony Kim, by only three shots and shares 5th position heading into the weekend.
It was a one birdie and one bogey round for Nathan, the birdie coming early at the par five third when, after laying up with his second, he pitched to 6 feet and was on his way.
The only bogey of the round came at the par four 16th, the middle hole of the renowned 'Bear Trap', when he was unable to get up and down from a greenside trap.
