Bogeys at his final two holes on day two of the World Golf Championship Bridgestone Open in Akron, Ohio was a disappointing way for Nathan to finish what had been a good fightback but his round of 71 had been a considerable improvement on his effort of 74 on Thursday.

The biggest improvemnt for Nathan came on the greens, an area of his game with which he had struggled on day one. At 5 over Nathan is in a share of 63rd position in the field of 79. With no cut Nathan is guaranteed weekend work and the chance to improve further over the final two rounds.
