A final round of even par 72 has seen Nathan finish in a share of 22nd position at the season opening SBS Championship. It was a disappointing end to a tournament which had started so promisingly with an opening round of 67 to share the lead but a third round of 77 effectively cost Nathan any chance of a great start to the year.
Nathan began the final day well with three early birdies but a double bogey at the par three 11th put paid any serious progress being made on day four. After pulling his tee shot to the left Nathan pitched back over the green and was then unable to get up and down. It was the third double bogey in his final 36 holes.
Still Nathan has US$81,000 in the bank already as a result of the massive purse and the limited field so things aren't all bad.
Nathan will now play the Sony Open in Honolulu
