Nathan has put together an outstanding weekend at the Sony Open to eventually finish in a tie for 8th. A third round of 65 moved Nathan within striking distance of contention and today he kept pressing forward, although missing out on a birdie opportunity at the last after finding the fairway was costly.

A final round of 68 however was good enough to earn Nathan US$154,000 and so in his first two events of the season he has already accumulated US$235,000.

Nathan will now take a one week break rather than playing this week's Bob Hope event in California, preferring instead to spend some time in Dallas and will be back to play at one of his favourite courses at Torrey Pines next week.
